1958 · The beginning

Founded in Titusville.

Affordable Development was incorporated in 1958 as Driveways, Inc., in Titusville, Florida — a decade before the first Saturn V left the pad up the road. The company has operated continuously ever since: through booms, busts, hurricanes, and everything the Space Coast has built in between.

What we became

An underground utility specialist.

Over seven decades the company grew into what it is today: a licensed and bonded underground utility contractor with a full fleet, crews that self-perform the work, and municipal relationships measured in decades. Our longest customer relationship — with the City of Titusville — has run more than twenty years. A public agency does not keep calling the same contractor for two decades if the work is bad.

Today

The first Morhse company.

Today Affordable Development operates as the first operating company of Morhse Holdings, Inc., an infrastructure platform building and operating dependable utility construction, operation, and maintenance companies across the Southeast.

What that means in practice: the crew, the equipment, and the name on the truck are the same ones Central Florida has relied on for 68 years. Behind them now sits a professional shared-services organization — dedicated safety and compliance leadership, formal estimating, disciplined finance and procurement, and a growing equipment fleet — so our crews show up better equipped, better supported, and better trained than they were a year ago.

Where we're going

Expanding, hiring, building.

We are based in Titusville and work across Central and North Florida. Our crews are close enough to be on site the same day, and we are actively expanding into neighboring markets. If your utility is outside our current footprint, ask anyway.
